Wind Speed Map: a geographical representation of the distribution of free wind speeds in a given area.

Wind Power Density Map: a geographical representation of both the free wind speed and air density as they impact the ability to generate energy from a wind resource. The wind power density is defined as the wind power available per unit area swept by a wind turbines blades.
