MEDIA ADVISORY: ITC Hearing Monday
KCC to consider application to build transmission line from Spearville to Hays
Topeka, KS- The Kansas Corporation Commission (KCC) will hold a technical hearing regarding ITC Great Plains' application to build a new 345 kilovolt high-capacity transmission line from Spearville to Hays.

The Commission must issue a decision by July 13, 2009, and is required to base its decision on the necessity of the transmission line and the reasonableness of the proposed route, taking into consideration the benefit to both consumers in Kansas and consumers outside the state as well as the economic development benefits for the state.
