Except for a Passenger Service operating under FTA Grants, all Passenger carriers are required to have KCC authority when operating point to point beyond 25 miles from their domicile Is a Passenger Service subject to State and FMCSR's Except for a taxi, school bus, or 15 passenger vehicle used to vanpool all registered passenger carriers must meet minimum State insurance requirements Are intrastate passenger services required to file a MCS-150 application every two years

*** Remember, if your vehicle meets one of the definitions listed above or has a gross vehicle weight rating (GVWR) or gross combination weight rating (GCWR) of 10,001 pounds or more the vehicle and driver are subject to all the applicable state and federal safety regulations.
