Conservation Division Order Summary


FY Conservation Penalty Order Summary

For Fiscal Year 2017, the Commission issued 1,154 noticed and consent orders in Conservation dockets. Of those, the Commission approved 302 Conservation Orders assessing $368,600 in fines payable to the state general fund.*

For Fiscal Year 2018, the Commission issued 794 noticed and consent orders in Conservation dockets. Of those, the Commission approved 151 Conservation Orders assessing $137,325 in fines payable to the state general fund.*

For the eight month period from April 2018 through November 2018, the Commission approved 358 Conservation Division noticed and consent orders. Except for recusals in 4 of these dockets, all of these decisions were unanimous. Included among those orders were 154 penalty orders imposing $77,050 in fines payable to the state general fund.*

Fines are assessed to oil and gas operators that violate Conservation statutes and regulations.Generally, penalty orders are imposed when operators have forgone the opportunity to remedy or remediate enforcement issues.

 

Pipeline Safety Division Order Summary


FY Pipeline Safety Penalty Order Summary

For Fiscal Year 2017, the Commission issued 21 noticed and consent orders in Pipeline Safety dockets. Of those, the Commission approved 14 Pipeline Safety Orders assessing $15,000 in fines payable to the state general fund.*

For Fiscal Year 2018, the Commission issued 50 noticed and consent orders in Pipeline Safety dockets. Of those, the Commission approved 42 Pipeline Safety Orders assessing $41,250 in fines payable to the state general fund.*

For year-to-date Fiscal Year 2019 (July 2018 through November 2018), the Commission approved 14 Pipeline Safety Orders assessing $22,000 in fines payable to the state general fund.*

Fines are assessed to electric and gas utilities and excavators that violate the Pipeline Safety statutes and regulations.

  


Telecommunication Division Order Summary


FY Telecom Penalty Order Summary

For Fiscal Year 2017, the Commission issued 514 noticed and consent orders in Telecom dockets. Of those, the Commission approved 10 orders assessing $28,564 in fines payable to the state general fund.*

For Fiscal Year 2018, the Commission issued 329 noticed and consent orders in Telecom dockets. Of those, the Commission approved 11 Telecom Orders assessing $171,771 in fines payable to the state general fund.*

For year-to-date Fiscal Year 2019 (July 2018 through November 2018), the Commission issued 177 noticed and consent orders in Telecom dockets.Of those, the Commission approved 6 Telecom Orders assessing $18,910 in fines payable to the state general fund.*

Fines are assessed to Telecom companies for violations of telecommunication statutes and rules.

For Fiscal Year 2017, the Commission approved 2 Show Cause Orders to Kansas telecom carriers for violations of Kansas statutes and Commission orders.

For Fiscal Year 2018, the Commission approved 8 Show Cause Orders to Kansas telecom carriers for violations of Kansas statutes and Commission orders.

For year-to-date Fiscal Year 2019 (July 2018 through November 2018), the Commission approved 2 Show Cause Orders to a Kansas telecom carrier for violations of Kansas statutes and Commission orders. 
 

Transportation Division Order Summary


FY Trans Penalty Order Chart

For Fiscal Year 2017, the Commission issued 1,320 noticed and consent orders in Transportation dockets. Of those, the Commission approved 124 Transportation Penalty Orders, assessing $151,900 in fines payable to the state general fund.*

For Fiscal Year 2018, the Commission issued 1,148 noticed and consent orders in Transportation dockets. Of those, the Commission approved 153 Transportation Penalty Orders, assessing $172,250 in fines payable to the state general fund.*

For year-to-date Fiscal Year 2019 (July 2018 through November 2018), the Commission issued 387 noticed and consent orders in Transportation dockets. Of those, the Commission approved 63 Transportation Penalty Orders, assessing $51,200 in fines payable to the state general fund.*

Penalty Orders are assessed to motor carriers for violations of the Transportation statutes, safety rules and safety regulations.
